Amanda Seyfried says why she left from super hero role

Amanda Seyfried revealed that she had rejected a “big” superhero role-as she “didn’t want to be green every year for six months.”

She confessed during a recent interview with MTV International that she was approached before joining a large superhero franchise-but turned it down “and they didn’t call me away.”

She doesn’t indicate what personality it was-or even what franchise superhero. The mention to being “green,” however, appears to be a nod to the Guardians of the Galaxy’s Gamora.

Ultimately, Zoe Saldana was cast as Gamora and has played the role in the last few years in four MCU movies. The dressing and hair method is said to have lasted about five hours a day for the first moment she portrayed Gamora in the 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy.

The 40-year-old discussed a time-lapse video earlier this year that showed long processes needed to get in (and out of) personality. “Hair up! It must fall off what’s going on,” she penned. “Adios Gamora, at least for now! Ha.”
